Tripura Police launch investigation as Cricketer Mayank Agarwal hospitalized: health scare sparks concern

Indian cricketer Mayank Agarwal found himself in a health emergency during a flight from Agartala to Surat via New Delhi, prompting an immediate police investigation. Agarwal, also the captain of the Karnataka Ranji trophy team, complained of oral irritation and throat discomfort after consuming liquid from a bottle, which he believed to be water, before takeoff. The Tripura police swiftly registered a case based on the statement provided by Agarwal's manager, Ramesh Rao.

Prompt medical response and investigation

Deboarded immediately upon his complaint, Agarwal was rushed to a private hospital in Agartala, where he is reported to be "clinically stable" and receiving treatment. The New Capital Complex police station initiated an investigation into the incident, focusing on the circumstances surrounding the liquid consumption.

The hospital, ILS Hospitals Agartala, released a statement confirming Mayank Agarwal's admission after experiencing oral irritation and swelling on his lips. The statement assured that he is clinically stable and under constant monitoring by hospital consultants.
